HR Generalist

The human resource generalist will provide comprehensive support across all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This role ensures HR policies and practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements while fostering a positive and productive work environment

Your Role

  • Administer day-to-day HR operations, including employee inquiries and HRIS updates.

  • Support recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee education.

  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Coordinate performance review processes and support development initiatives.

  • Lead development, training, engagement, retention, and well-being initiatives.

  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records.

  • Contribute to HR projects and process improvements as needed.

  • It is the responsibility of all employees to be aware of DT Engineering’s quality policy, objectives, guiding principles, and departmental work instructions relative to their position.  All employees have a role in quality and the performance of each employee directly impacts the financial goals of DT Engineering and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Two to four years of HR experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)

  • Experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Frequently push, pull, reach, stoop, bend at the waist, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, or crawl.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Near visual acuity for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.

  • Must be able to tolerate elevated noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, breathing fumes, dust, and mist and skin exposures to oils and cutting fluids.
